Welcome to my little haven on the internet. General topics include anime, manga, videogames, “otaku culture” in general, as well as any thoughts that I might find worth contemplating.Please leave a comment if you’d like to discuss any of my entries, and feel free to send me a personal message if you’d like to suggest blogging topics or simply to touch base.

I have been an anime fan for nearly 15 years, having attended my first convention in 1999 (Katsucon 5). Even living on the United States East Coast, I’ve managed to return to my birth-state of California twice in order to attend AnimeEXPO, and make annual appearances at Otakon. In terms of anime, my favorite genres are slice-of-life comedies, but I’m open to watching almost anything with an open mind. Having this blog drives me to branch out and expand my horizons. I am an avid fan of Card Captor Sakura and Hayate no Gotoku, my two favorites.

I am also the proud owner of a modest manga collection, primarily domestic releases. I don’t keep up with serialized manga, and being able to physically flip the pages with my own two hands is something I wouldn’t trade for all the digital comics in the world.

I enjoy reading — episodic novels and short fiction in particular. Pertinent to this blog, my favorite light novel series by far is the Suzumiya Haruhi series, followed by Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai (OreImo). I also enjoy dystopian novels (1984, Fahrenheit 451, A Handmaid’s Tale), novels by Dan Brown, and parodies of classic literature (Jane Slayre).

Writing is also an important part of my being (blogging should be a testament to this), especially creative writing. I write poetry, fanfics, short fiction, and I am continuously working and re-working the novel that will probably never be published.
